Hey there fellow Tombheads! After lots of enthusiastic feedback, u/butchfeminist and I would like to proudly present to you Hot Tomb Summer, a Gideon the Ninth and Harrow the Ninth read-along and discussion. Read on to learn how it’ll work and ways you can participate!
-Each week, a discussion post will be created and stickied (thank you mods!) where we will discuss the assigned readings of that week. Each discussion post will include brief summaries of the chapters read and a few insights or discussion questions to help get the conversation started.
-If you are interested in leading one of the weekly discussions (writing the summaries, discussion questions and creating the post), you can sign up in this thread! First to claim a week gets the week. I will update the table below as users sign up for discussion weeks. Any week not claimed by a participant will be led by myself or butchfeminist.
-This read-along and discussion will be welcome to both first-time readers and those of us here for the re-read. Discussion of spoilers for future chapters will be allowed, but please use spoiler tags liberally. If participants have alternate ideas of how to help initial readers to avoid spoilers while still allowing them in the weekly discussion, we’re open to exploring other ideas!
-We are also kicking around the idea of having a fun logo for our read-along, or maybe even a simple website as a place to archive our discussions for future readers to be able to find easily! Interested in helping out with something like that? Just drop a comment here or send u/butchfeminist or myself a message!
